About me and ARTery
My Background
My name is Timos Papalois

I'm an Illustrator with a passion for Art, sharing ideas and communicating emotion, facts and personal stories through the expression of different Art Mediums.
Born, in 1995 I consider myself a citizen of the world , being born in Minnesota to Greek parents and growing up and studying in England ever since. My cultural identity has always inspired me and my moral compass as well as my art. My aim is to make a platform for artists voices to be heard and their opinions to be shared.

What is ARTery?

Vincent Van Gogh's work was never displayed and admired in a museum during his lifetime. No young artists were able be mentored by Van Gogh besides the artists will to share his talent with other artists. This is a fact of life. Today, through the internet famous and not-yet famous artists from all walks of art (architecture, acting, song writing, sculpture, photography, painting, drawing, design, illustration, poets, writers , singers, dancers) need and should have a way to speak to each other, collaborate, inspire, create and make a name for themselves.

Following the global experience of the COVID-19 pandemic the art world is entering a new era as we have all adjusted to a 'new normal', with many challenges came enormous creativity to stay connected and stay inspired.

The ARTery project invites artists from all walks of life , all corners of the earth to communicate in an epigrammatic way, where few words can say a lot. There are several ways you can use language: to attack others, to defend yourself, to bullshit when you have nothing to say and to build. The ARTery project is about building on the artists experience.

ARTery is a platform where artists can share knowledge and experience to inform, explore and better their art. It serves as a safe forum where art topics can be discussed, artists can collaborate and mentor each other and the future direction of art can serve as food for thought and creative thinking.

There are three forms that the ARTery project adopts (more details on the submission criteria)
